Transforming Our Community
Through Arts Education and Performance
Much more than music, our mission at Central Florida Vocal Arts (CFVA) is to transform our community through arts education for all and professional performances that inspire. We believe a kinder, more connected Central Florida is possible through equitable access to the arts–particularly for our most vulnerable neighbors. Through intentional partnerships we ensure our programs reach those who need us most, fostering connection, confidence, and creativity through music education.
Central Florida Vocal Arts (CFVA) was founded in 2012 with a bold belief: that equitable access to the arts has the power to transform individuals—and, in turn, an entire community. What began as a grassroots effort to create opportunity through music has grown into a regional movement centered on connection, empowerment, and belonging.

Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Accessibility
We affirm that all people deserve the opportunity to have a rich and inspired life through meaningful arts experiences. We strive to mitigate barriers and create equitable access to arts education and performance opportunities, through which we cultivate confidence, creativity and connection.
Notwithstanding any provision of the Central Florida Vocal Arts’ Bylaws, the Corporation shall not discriminate against any director, officer, employee, applicant, or participant on the basis of sex, gender identity, race, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or national origin. Casting decisions will coincide with character description and vocal needs set forth by composer, performance history and creative direction set forth by the production team.
We believe ALL people are artists and deserve access to quality arts experiences, regardless of income, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, religious affiliation, or age.
We actively strive for color-conscious casting and increased diversity and intersectionality at all levels of our organization.
We believe accessibility extends beyond physical limitations. We strive to increase accessibility through affordable or free ticketing and offering digital options for most of our programs.
We utilize super and subtitles when appropriate in both English and other languages for audience members who are hearing impaired or do not speak the language of the piece.
We believe no child should be turned away because of financial hardship, and offer needs-based scholarships to all of our educational programs. Our partnerships with Orange County and Osceola County Public Schools also ensure accessibility to our educational programs for all young artists regardless of financial means.
