Central Florida Vocal Arts Unveils 2025–2026 Season: Picture Perfect – Idealism On Stage

Central Florida Vocal Arts Unveils 2025–2026 Season: Picture Perfect – Idealism On Stage

An inspired season of musical theatre classics, thought-provoking opera, and a community-wide invitation to engage with the arts.

ORLANDO, Fla., June 5, 2025 – Central Florida Vocal Arts (CFVA), recently named 2025 Community Organization of the Year by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and recognized as Central Florida’s fastest-growing arts organization by the Orlando Business Journal, has announced its 2025–2026 season: Picture Perfect – Idealism On Stage.

Now entering its 14th season, CFVA will present three mainstage productions that explore the concept of idealism through music and storytelling. From the golden-age charm of The Music Man to the emotionally resonant masterpiece Sunday in the Park with George, and a poignant operatic double bill featuring Susanna’s Secret and Trouble in Tahiti, this season invites audiences to examine the allure—and the illusions—of a “picture perfect” world.

2025–2026 Season Highlights

The Music Man in Concert August 22–24, 2025

Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
Meredith Willson’s beloved classic follows fast-talking Harold Hill as he meets his match in Marian Paroo, the steadfast librarian of River City, Iowa. Presented in concert in partnership with Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, this production will spotlight Central Florida’s finest vocalists, allowing the music and storytelling to shine.

Sunday in the Park with George November 7–9, 2025

Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
Stephen Sondheim’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical delves into the struggles of artistic creation and personal connection. With a visually striking design and emotionally nuanced direction, this production serves as the season’s centerpiece, capturing the tension between perfection and presence in the artistic process.

Operatic Double Bill: Susanna’s Secret & Trouble in Tahiti Spring 2026

Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts
Opera del Sol closes the season with two rarely paired one-act operas. The Secret of Susanna (originally Il Segreto di Susanna) is a witty chamber comedy that explores marriage, independence, and secrets. In contrast, Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti reveals the discontent behind the polished facade of 1950s suburban life. Together, they offer a layered and moving portrait of love, illusion, and identity.

Community Engagement & Education

Beyond the stage, CFVA continues its commitment to arts education and community impact through partnerships with organizations including Pace Center for Girls, Boys & Girls Clubs, Camp Boggy Creek, the Center for Health & Wellbeing, and Winter Park Library.

The Arts 1:1 program—delivered in collaboration with Orange and Osceola County Public Schools—will expand again this year, providing students at Title I schools with free weekly voice lessons. CFVA remains dedicated to its mission: building a better community through equitable access to arts education and performance.

Throughout the season, CFVA will also appear at regional events and festivals including the Orlando International Fringe Festival, Creative City Project, FusionFest, and city programming in Winter Park.

More Than a Show: A Season of Partnership

Central Florida Vocal Arts invites local businesses, philanthropists, and brands to support a mission that goes beyond the stage. Partnership opportunities include season sponsorships, playbill advertising, and co-branded events throughout Central Florida.

CFVA is also seeking legacy partners as it prepares to open its new home in the heart of Winter Park: the revitalized former Winter Park Library at 460 E New England Avenue, just steps from Park Avenue.

“Now more than ever, the performing arts need bold community support—and Central Florida Vocal Arts is proud to offer meaningful sponsorship and advertising opportunities to like-minded community partners. CFVA audiences are passionate, loyal, and culturally engaged. Supporting the arts is not only a meaningful investment in the community but also a strong marketing opportunity for local businesses.” – Theresa Smith-Levin, CFVA Founder & Executive Director
