Sarah Lysiak

Biography

Sarah Lysiak is proud to serve as Director of Education for Central Florida Vocal Arts. She is an established voice teacher and soprano as well as a Teaching Artist through Arts 1:1—a lesson platform serving Title I students. She has been teaching voice for 12 years and previously taught in Houston as an Adjunct Professor of Voice at Lone Star College-Montgomery. She also served as Vice President of Workshops for Greater Houston NATS, and was active in the TMEA All-State Choir audition process.
Sarah’s favorite operatic roles include: Mimí in La Bohème, Marianne in Der Rosenkavalier, Alice in Falstaff, Matilde in Il Postino, and First Lady in The Magic Flute. She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, respectively. Sarah has sung with notable organizations such as the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute, Piedmont Opera, Moores Opera Center, Opera in the Ozarks, Houston Ballet, and seven seasons with Houston Grand Opera.
Sarah currently resides in Indiana and serves a private voice studio in addition to her role with CFVA. She is the dog mom of Hank, a 2-year old golden retriever.
